UPDATE: The caption on the picture says 'Mister Stalin and his sons of bitches'.
I think a disclaimer is in order here. I do not think that Robert Kocharian and Serj Sargsian are Georgians. I also do not think that they were fathered by Mr. Stalin and I do not think their ancestors behaved in inappropriate ways when these two were conceived. The caption describes the kind of actions the two have taken in the past and in the present.

They expected Raffi would change the course of his action or follow the footsteps of Geghamyan or Arthur. Fortunately this is unprobable and impossible. After June 20 the people sighed with relief, hearing Raffi is firm in the direction he has chosen.

wow - very impressive. i like the deep political insight subtlely expressed in the picture. with luminaries like this running this zombie cult called the opposition, it is a wonder they haven't come to power yet.

WITH YOUR OWN DEEP POLITICAL INSIGHT AND SOPHISTICATION WILL YOU PLEASE ENLIGHTEN US WHAT IS YOUR VIEW OF A TRUE OPPOSITION?

Movses - I just think it is sad that the best a bunch of disgruntled people living outside of Armenia can do is mock and insult Armenia's leaders. The net effect of all this cacophony from the opposition is that more and more people in Armenia have gravitated to the authorities because of infantile low-level insults and the general lack of any proposed solutions to the real problems that exist.

Blame others for your problems, wait for others to realize your dreams.

Anonymous at 4:43pm. I think there have been proposals by the opposition towards improving the current situation. The first proposition is to free all the political prisoners. You might want to read the transcripts of the June 20 speeches or watch the videos posted a few entries below.

The second proposal is to hold new elections, this time free, fair and without fraud or violence.

Both these proposals have met with either silence or mockery by the ruling coalition. So I don't know why you think there haven't been any proposals and initiatives.

As for the population gravitating towards the regime, I would like to know what kind of substance has influenced that thought.

nazarian as usual you continue do what oskanian was doing for RK< changing/manipulating words to soften the image of stupid messages thrown by LTP and his team

1. there were no proposals, there were unconditional demands

2. LTP and neobolsheviks continue to not enter into dialog "towards improving the current situation"

3. The stamp messages of call for revolution still continue

4. Nikol Pashinyan continues write antistate articles and has supporters

5. strong defamation activity is in process

6. All LTP speach was who some tatar-monghols are, nothing about himself, nothing about revolutioners, nothing about changing situation

And u call it proposal to improve situation?

PS
More long term harm continues to be done for Armenian cause:

cases. comparing march 1 to genocide.
drawing Armenia as antisemitic state.

what's next?

anonymous from July 01, 2008 10:29 AM- You are missing the point: You are talking about state interests. Here we only talk about levon-interests or rob-interests.

Too many in the opposition seems to be incapable of differentiating between pro-government and pro-state. Anything to discredit (even if untrue or unsubstantiated) or to propagate hatred regarding the authorities is viewed as a step toward "freedom" or "democracy."

Hence idiocy like equating current authorities with Stalin, March 1 with Genocide, or calling your president a son of a whore.

Reflective, I placed an update about the caption so that misunderstanding like your last post does not occur again. Son of a whore and son of a bitch are very different terms.

Reflective, I also sometimes struggle with differentiating the things the regime does and the possibility of saying something that would be harmful for Armenia. For example, when I was listening to Raffi Hovhannisian's speech at PACE, I was glad that it was not me there. How do you try to improve the situation in your country and yet not aid your enemy that is sitting a few seats away (the Azeris).

But then you realize that it is the regime that is doing the harm. It is them who are dragging Armenia into oblivion by their authoritarian behavior. The sooner we get rid of the banditocracy, the better it will be for Armenia. I still have hope that Armenia can be saved.

You know, hope dies last.
