Time to get bored.

Palin and Biden are about to start their 'debate'. Let's see how long I can last before changing the channel or, most probably, popping in a movie. Have this DVD that I wanted to watch for some time.

UPDATE: Palin looked like an undergrad trying to BS her way through a case presentation which she had read but not understood. Overall, I can see it appealing to the masses. Biden kept attacking McCain, not so much Palin (what is there to attack?). Watched maybe 15 minutes cumulatively... Not much missed as I have made up my mind.

The market's up today and that's what I am more interested in. To paraphrase the old Armenian saying 'May you not live in interesting time', 'may you not live in times of volatile markets if you have gone ultra long'.

I'm using my DVR to give them a head start, then I can pause it whenever I need to throw up or something. Maybe it needs to be made into a drinking game or something. A shot whenever she says "I'll get back to you on that"--maybe there's not enough vodka around for that one, though.

By the way, in case you missed it: Katie Couric asked both Biden and Palin what the worst thing Cheney had done as Vice President:

Biden: Ripped the Constitution to shreds.

Palin: Shot a guy in the face.

Glad I wasn't trying to swallow anything at the time........

Aren’t Palin and McCain Republicans? They criticise the current Republican administration more than the Democrats do. Why nobody points this out?

"The chant is drill baby drill " - Palin.

Haik, Obama's message is 'Change'. McCain has basically stolen that message - his campaign started using 'Change' during the Republican primaries.

He may criticize the Bush administration but Republicans know that it's just to get those independent votes. You can't attract them while defending Bush. No matter how much he criticizes the Bush administration, in the end he himself is a Republican.

Whatever it takes to keep Obama out of the office is acceptable to them.

Haik, think of them as Artur Bagdasaryan and you'll get the picture. If elected, they'll be drinking champagne with Bush (well, Bush will have water I guess).

Nazarian, I respect Palin more now. Before I thought she could only perform "Annie Get Your Gun" in dinner theater, but now I realize she'd make a great Ado Annie in "Oklahoma!" as well! ("I'm just a girl who cain't say no"...)

she is a good schoolgirl, learned her role fine. anyway, now that it becomes increasingly clear that Obama is going to win I still wonder if he will ever get guts to put Cheney on trail (preferably not alone but with Rummy, Wolfowitz and Bush). If he let them retire peacefully I will be greatly disappointed.
