We link our lives with Russia: Gagik Tsarukian's interview with

Gagik Tsarukian's interview with is all the rage in the Russian language Armenian blogosphere. I hope that he does not really think what he says. It would be sad if the control of Armenia was given to someone with such a puppy like devotion to Russia. If you thought that Kocharian was close to treason for his devotion to the Russians, just wait till Tsarukian 'wins' the elections.

Here is the English version translated by Google. There obviously are some problems with it but you can get the main idea.

Our life is linked with Russia : an interview with the leader of the "flourishing Armenia Gagika Tsaroukyan

Although somewhat interestingly, Artashes Geghamian, Stepan Demirchian, Aram Z. Sarkisian and Aram Karapetian were all of the same opinion until a) the Russian backed Kocharian in 2003, and b) they thought the West could bring them to power through a colored revolution in Armenia.

Then, on the other hand, you have Serzh Sarkisian reportedly moving closer to the West in the hope that he can come to power. Fun and Games. Fun and Games.

How do the elites expect to build national pride if they say such undignified things? It's ridiculous.
