Solemn Moment.

Kocharian must have realized what a mistake he made when he decided that only he would represent NKR interests as a president of Armenia after the coup that brought him to power. He even dubbed himself as "the only manly man in Armenia" (yes, really, he is THAT stupid)

In realizing his mistake, he is 12 years too late, unfortunately.

Tax on Animals.

Today I learned that the Yerevan municipality has proposed a 5,000 Dram (15-20 USD) tax on animals. This would apply to pets like fish, dogs, parakeets and such.

I have one question, though. Does this apply to the rats that live in the elevator chutes in the high-rise apartment buildings in Yerevan? Meaning, does the Yerevan municipality pay the residents 5,000 Drams for every rat that lives on municipality property?

Seriously, there are a lot of lonely and elderly people with very little income that keep a cat or a dog as a companion. How are these people going to afford to pay the 5,000 tax?

Here I see a lot of homeless people who have a dog as a companion. It would be outrageous if my cash-strapped municipality even thought of taxing pets.

Tumbling Down The Road of Illegitimacy.

The State Department of the US issues a damning report on human rights in Armenia during 2009:

The good news is that there is a clear result of the public discontent with the banditocracy tactics of suppression of people speaking against the brutality of the nature of the regime.

1. Mariam Sukhudian honored by the US Embassy in Yerevan.
2. The Armenian police drop the criminal charges against Mariam Sukhudian the very next day.

Spring.

This is the time when the cardinals try to secure territory for the upcoming year. There is a male cardinal outside my office window that sees his reflection in the glass and has been attacking the window since the morning.

It was today when the people stood up to defend their dignity, The people were going through a rebirth like a phoenix. But the hunters had placed their traps and were laying in ambush. The motherfuckers didn't hesitate to kill people of their own ethnicity.
