How is LTP going to be nominated to run for presidency?

LTP has constantly suggested that he would be nominated by a wide range of political actors. He even reiterated that in today's rally.

The parliament, however, passed amendments today in an extraordinary gathering. They changed the electoral law so that a candidate can only be nominated by one party or be self nominated. The law goes into effect tomorrow.

It looks like these custom made changes were made in order to prevent LTP from nominated by a number of parties and non-profit organizations. The changes are not unconstitutional so let's see whether this weakens LTP.

The parliament was also to discuss changes to the laws about the broadcast media and the constitutional court. I don't know the specifics of this but knowing the way these people think and act, the changes will probably give SS (Serzh Sargsyan) more leverage during the elections.
