School number 6 in Vanadzor, Armenia. It's located next to the main market in the Tsalkut neighborhood.

When I was a kid, the school looked much better than it does now. It looks dilapidated and run down nowadays. The inside is not bad although I did not get into any classrooms.

tarkhun_drink, originally uploaded by nazarian.

Here is a typical cafe table in Yerevan, Armenia. Noy is bottled spring water, Jermuk is a bottled mineral water. The green thing in the bottle at the center is a 'Tarkhoun' soda. It's basically carbonated water full of artificial color and sugar, and a little bit of artificial flavor. It's a quite deadly looking drink.

Mayr Hayastan (mother Armenia), originally uploaded by nazarian.

May 9 is celebrated in Armenia. That's when the Nazi Germany capitulated during WW2 and the important Armenian city of Shushi was liberated from the Azeris in 1992. The conquest of Shushi was a tactically important victory and helped liberate the rest of the Azeri occupied territories in and around Karabakh.
