Amazing judicial development.
While the Armenian judicial system is busy with the faux-amnesty (the banditocracy is letting around 2,000 criminals free and a handful of the political prisoners in the hopes of hoodwinking the European bureaucrats) , there is a surprising development in the US judicial system. Jose Padilla, who was arrested and tortured by the Bush administration, is suing the Justice Department official who wrote the memos that built the case for the acceptability of torture of people deemed as enemy combatants. Jose Padilla is an American citizen but was designated as an enemy combatant and thus 'eligible' for torture. Padilla was accused and convicted of conspiracy to build a dirty bomb.
Padilla is looking for a compensation of $1. This case is going to be interesting to follow. The details are available here.
