Violence against independent media.

In the good old tradition of suppressing free speech in Armenia, reporter Lusine Barseghian was assaulted in Yerevan yesterday. Two unidentified males attacked her as she exited her residence, threw her on the ground and repeatedly kicked her on the head. She was hospitalized and is suffering from contusion and hematoma. Her condition is listed as not life threatening.

She had recently published investigative reports about the property and businesses of people closely connected with the banditocracy such as MP Lfik Samo, SS's chief of staff Mkhchiani Mook and the neighborhood chief of Erebuni district Tokhmakhi Mher. Tokhmakhi Mher has since claimed that it was not his people who did this.

  1. Aravot reports taht in a phon call with Tokhmakhi Mher (Sedrakyan). He said that it wasn't his thugs. He said that he is not a wussy to beat a woman or dead people instead he would shave her hair.
It is a good enough statement to show that with whom we are dealing with.

  2. It's fascinating to see how women are in the driving seat of anything and everything positive going on in the country these days. Though, the front people may still be men, women are the more progressive and more determined to bring changes. I think the advantage they have is the absence of boyish, goghakan-poxocayin mentality that most of the men have been subject to to a certain degree.

  3. its significant how regime-supporters or levon-bashers on this site keep quiet over such incidents, all they care is to bash levon and the opposition..sound too familiar already.."hedatimagan ujer" with "heghapokhagan" names
