Մի Տնից Չենք, Մի Հալի Ենք

The latest chapter of Nikol Pashinian's story 'The Other Side of the World' features an Armenian migrant worker called Vardan in Japan who communicates with Korean co-workers and yet neither he knows Korean nor does the Korean guy know Armenian.

The funny thing is that I knew a person (incidentally, a construction worker like Vardan) like that here, in the US who only knew Armenian and Russian. He didn't know English and yet communicated with his boss on the phone (who didn't know either Armenian or Russian) and they seemed to understand each other. However, he could not communicate with his kids who only knew English. All the communication had to go through his wife who knew only Russian and English.
